# Connect Cheerful to Claude

> Connect Cheerful to Claude with a clear, step-by-step guide, real screenshots and direct setup links. Sign in, add Cheerful and try your first question.

You will need a [Cheerful account](https://app.cheerful.ai/sign-in?mode=signup) and a Claude account. Claude Free allows one custom connector. On a work account, your workspace owner may need to add Cheerful first.

To connect Cheerful to Claude, add a custom connector, paste the Cheerful server URL and sign in. You can then ask Claude about your campaigns and creator replies.

## How to set it up

### 1. Open Claude’s connectors page

Open [your connectors in Claude](https://claude.ai/customize/connectors) and sign in if asked. If you are opening it from Claude’s sidebar, choose **Customize**, then **Connectors**.

Click **Add**, then **Add custom connector**, as shown below. If your menu says **Custom** instead, choose **Custom**, then **Web**.

In Claude, choose **Add custom connector**.

### 2. Enter the name and server URL

Type **Cheerful** in the name field. Copy the URL below and paste it into **MCP server URL**, then click **Continue**.

Paste the whole URL, including /mcp at the end.

Enter **Cheerful**, paste the server URL and click **Continue**.

### 3. Choose the sign-in settings

Select **Sign in now**. For **OAuth client**, select **Register automatically**. Leave the other fields empty, then click **Add** at the bottom of the form.

Select **Sign in now** and **Register automatically**, then click **Add**.

### 4. Sign in to Cheerful

A Cheerful sign-in page will open. Sign in to the Cheerful account you want Claude to use, review the access request and approve it. Then return to Claude. If the connector still shows **Connect**, click it to finish signing in.

### 5. Try your first question

Open [a new Claude chat](https://claude.ai/new). Click the **+** beside the message box, open **Connectors** and turn on **Cheerful**. Send the question below.

Claude should use Cheerful and tell you which account is connected. This check is free and does not change anything. You are ready to ask about your campaigns.

## Frequently asked questions

**Can I connect Cheerful with Claude Free?**

Yes. Claude Free allows one custom connector. If that slot is already used, remove the connection you no longer need. On a work account, your workspace owner may need to enable Cheerful first.

**Why is Claude not using Cheerful?**

In your Claude chat, open the **+** menu, choose **Connectors** and turn on **Cheerful**. Finish any pending sign-in, then ask “Who am I in Cheerful?” again.

**What if Claude’s menu looks different?**

Choose **Add custom connector**, or **Custom**, then **Web**, depending on your version. Both use the same Cheerful server URL. **Do I need an API key to connect Cheerful?**

No. Sign in to your Cheerful account when Claude asks. Your connection uses your own account’s permissions. Checking your connection is free; creator searches use Cheerful credits.
