# Choose where to use Cheerful

> Choose your app to connect Cheerful. Follow the Claude or ChatGPT screenshot guide, or find setup links for Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and Claude Code.

Pick the app you want to use. Each guide shows you where to click, what to paste and how to check that you are connected.

You can connect Cheerful to Claude, ChatGPT or a compatible MCP editor using your own Cheerful account.

## Before you connect

- Have your Cheerful sign-in ready. [Sign in to Cheerful](https://app.cheerful.ai/sign-in?mode=signin) or [create an account](https://app.cheerful.ai/sign-in?mode=signup).
- Check that your app lets you add a custom connection. A work account may need approval from your workspace owner.
- Keep your app open in another tab so you can follow the guide without losing your place.

## Using a code editor?

Use the server URL below and follow the setup instructions for your editor. Choose a remote HTTP server and finish the Cheerful sign-in in your browser.

After connecting, ask “Who am I in Cheerful?” to check which account you are using. This check is free and does not change anything.

## What happens after connecting?

Your assistant can work with the campaigns and creator lists your Cheerful account can access. Each person connects their own account.

Start with a question such as “Who replied to my campaigns yesterday?” Some tasks, including creator searches, use Cheerful credits. See the [tools and costs](/docs/mcp/tools) before starting a search.

## Frequently asked questions

**Do I need an API key?**

No. You sign in to Cheerful in your browser when your app asks you to connect.
