Add Cheerful to ChatGPT

To add Cheerful to ChatGPT, open Plugins, add the Cheerful MCP server and sign in. You can then ask ChatGPT about your campaigns and creator replies.

You will need a Cheerful account and a ChatGPT account that can add custom MCP servers. A work account may need permission from your workspace administrator.

How to set it up

    Open ChatGPT’s Plugins page

    Open Plugins in ChatGPT and sign in if asked. Click Add, then Add custom MCP server.

    In ChatGPT, choose Add custom MCP server.

    Fill in the Cheerful details

    Enter Cheerful as the name. The description is optional. Under Connection, choose Server URL and paste the URL below.

    Copy this server URL

    https://mcp.cheerful.ai/mcp

    Paste the whole URL, including /mcp at the end.

    Enter the Cheerful details. In the next step, choose OAuth and create the plugin.

    Choose OAuth and create the plugin

    Choose OAuth for authentication. Leave the optional OAuth client ID and client secret blank. Read the warning and select I understand and want to continue, then click Create as a plugin.

    Connect your Cheerful account

    Follow the connection prompts. Sign in to the Cheerful account you want to use, review the access request and approve it. When ChatGPT shows the plugin’s tools, review them and install the plugin. If it shows a separate Connect button, click it to finish signing in.

    Try your first question

    Open a new ChatGPT chat. Type @ in the message box and select Cheerful, then send the question below.

    Who am I in Cheerful?

    ChatGPT should use Cheerful and tell you which account is connected. This check is free and does not change anything. Once it works, try “Who replied to my campaigns yesterday?”

  • “Show me my creator lists.”

ChatGPT uses your Cheerful account’s permissions. Creator searches use Cheerful credits. See available actions and costs before starting a search or changing a campaign.

ChatGPT calls this a plugin in the interface shown here. You add Cheerful with Add custom MCP server, then choose Create as a plugin. The steps follow OpenAI’s current MCP setup instructions.

Use ChatGPT Plugins in your browser and sign in. Your plan or workspace rules may limit custom MCP servers; ask your workspace administrator if the option is missing. You can also connect Cheerful to Claude.

Enter Cheerful as the name and https://mcp.cheerful.ai/mcp as the Server URL. Choose OAuth, read the warning and tick I understand and want to continue.

In a new ChatGPT chat, type @, select Cheerful and ask “Who am I in Cheerful?” The answer should identify your Cheerful account. If it asks you to connect, finish signing in and try again. This check is free.
