Which tools does Cheerful integrate with?

Cheerful integrates natively with Gmail and Google Workspace, any mailbox that supports SMTP and IMAP, Shopify, WooCommerce, GoAffPro, ShipHero, Google Sheets, Airtable, Slack, Instagram, Stripe, SignWell, Monday.com and Instantly. It also connects to Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants through a read-only MCP server, and ships a command-line interface. Beyond those, a catalogue of 1,000+ more apps, including HubSpot, Salesforce, Notion, Klaviyo, Pipedrive, DocuSign and Outlook, can be connected in Settings, and Cheerful’s agent then uses that app’s actions in chat and in automations it sets up for you.
Just as important for a buying decision is what it does not connect to. There is no native Microsoft Outlook sign-in for sending, no Zapier app (Zapier is not in the catalogue today; Make is), no outbound webhooks, and no public REST API with API keys. HubSpot, Salesforce and Notion are catalogue apps the agent works with, not bespoke integrations with their own screens inside Cheerful. The table below says what each integration does inside Cheerful, because "integrates with Shopify" can mean anything from a logo on a page to placing the order.
Cheerful integrates natively with Gmail, SMTP/IMAP mailboxes, Shopify, WooCommerce, Google Sheets, Airtable, Slack, Instagram, Stripe, ShipHero, SignWell, Monday.com and Instantly, connects its agent to 1,000+ more apps such as HubSpot, Salesforce and Notion, and connects to Claude and ChatGPT through a read-only MCP server.
What does each Cheerful integration actually do?
| Tool | What it does in Cheerful | How it connects |
|---|---|---|
| Gmail and Google Workspace | Sends outreach, follow-ups and replies from your own address, and syncs the inbox so creator replies are picked up and drafted against. | Google sign-in. Workspace admins can also connect many mailboxes at once through domain-wide delegation, set up with Cheerful’s help. |
| Any SMTP/IMAP mailbox | The same sending and inbox sync as Gmail, for mail hosts that are not Google. | SMTP and IMAP credentials, one at a time or by bulk CSV import. |
| Warmed outreach domain | A separate sending domain Cheerful registers for you, with the mailboxes, DNS records and warm-up handled, so cold volume stays off your main domain. | Bought inside Cheerful on a paid plan. |
| Shopify | Reads your product catalogue, places gifting orders in your store once you approve them, and creates a unique discount code per creator. | Shopify app install (the “Cheerful AI” app). |
| WooCommerce | Reads products and places gifting orders; discount codes are created through GoAffPro. | Store REST keys plus a GoAffPro token. |
| GoAffPro | Creates affiliate discount codes, reads the orders attributed to them, and shows commission totals. | API token. |
| ShipHero | Creates fulfilment orders for gifted product. | Connected per campaign. |
| Google Sheets | Writes campaign data out to your sheet. An AI reads each creator’s email thread and fills that creator’s row according to instructions you give per column. | Share the sheet with Cheerful’s service account. |
| Airtable | The same campaign-data sync as Google Sheets, into an Airtable base. | Airtable sign-in from the Settings app catalogue. |
| Slack | Alerts a channel when creators reply, and lets you approve, skip or edit a gifting order from the Slack message. | The Cheerful for Slack app, with a channel set per campaign. |
| Brand monitoring of mentions, tags, comments and stories; reading and replying to DMs in the Cheerful inbox; cold DM campaigns. | Meta / Instagram business login. | |
| Stripe | Pays creators by card through Stripe Connect. | Set up inside Cheerful. |
| SignWell | Sends contracts from the inbox that creators sign inside their collaboration page. | Your SignWell API key. |
| Monday.com | Pushes campaign progress to a Monday board. | Personal API token. |
| Instantly | Routes replies from an Instantly cold-email campaign into Cheerful. | Instantly API key, from the Settings app catalogue. |
| Google Calendar | When a creator asks to meet, the reply draft offers times from your real availability. | Google sign-in from the Settings app catalogue. |
| HubSpot, Salesforce, Notion, Klaviyo and 1,000+ more apps | The agent can use the app’s own actions, such as creating a HubSpot contact or deal or adding a Klaviyo profile to a list, when you ask in chat, or in an automation that runs when a creator opts in, replies or is added to a campaign, or on a schedule. | Search the catalogue in Settings, then sign in to the app with OAuth or an API key. |
| Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code | Read-only questions about your own campaigns, replies, lists and creators. | The MCP connector at mcp.cheerful.ai/mcp and a browser sign-in. |
| Terminal and scripts | The Cheerful CLI can export, triage, create and launch campaigns and send email, because it calls the same API the web app calls. | npm package @cheerful/cli, browser sign-in. |
Does Cheerful work with Outlook or Microsoft 365?
Not through a Microsoft sign-in. Cheerful has no native Outlook or Microsoft 365 integration today. A Microsoft-hosted mailbox can only be connected the way any other mail host is, with SMTP and IMAP credentials, and that only works if your mail administrator allows SMTP and IMAP access for the account. If your team is on Google Workspace, the Gmail connection is the one the product is built around. Outlook is also in the app catalogue, so the agent can read Outlook mail and calendars and draft or send individual emails there, but campaign outreach, follow-ups and inbox sync do not run through it.
How does the Shopify integration handle gifting?
Shopify is connected by installing the Cheerful AI app on your store. It asks for permission to read products and orders and to write orders, draft orders and discounts, and nothing broader. Cheerful uses that to do three things in a gifting campaign.
- 1Show your catalogue inside the campaign, so the product a creator picks is a real variant in your store.
- 2Collect the creator’s shipping address from the email conversation and prepare the order. You approve it, in Cheerful or from Slack, and it is then placed in your Shopify store where your normal fulfilment picks it up.
- 3Create one discount code per creator, so sales can be attributed to a person rather than to a campaign.
Brands on WooCommerce get the same order and discount-code flow through their store keys and GoAffPro. Brands shipping from a ShipHero warehouse can have fulfilment orders created there instead.
Does the Google Sheets sync go both ways?
No. The Google Sheets integration writes from Cheerful into your sheet. You share the sheet with Cheerful’s service account and tell it, column by column, what belongs there. As each creator’s conversation moves, an AI reads the thread and updates that creator’s row: status, notes, agreed rates, addresses or whatever you asked for. Out of the box the columns are email, name, status and notes.
Creators get into a campaign from Cheerful’s own discovery, from a saved list, or from a CSV upload, which can be an export of the sheet you already keep. Airtable works the same way as Sheets.
Can Cheerful connect to HubSpot, Salesforce or Notion?
Yes, as catalogue apps. Search for the app in Settings, sign in to it, and Cheerful’s agent can use its actions. With HubSpot that means creating and updating contacts and deals, adding notes and moving a deal through your pipeline; with Salesforce, leads, contacts, opportunities and campaign membership; with Notion, rows in a creator database. You can ask for it once in chat or have the agent set up an automation, for example “when a creator opts in, create a HubSpot contact and a deal in the Creator pipeline”.
What these apps do not get is a dedicated screen or a continuous two-way sync. Cheerful does not import your HubSpot or Salesforce records back as creators, and the agent only touches the CRM when you ask it to or when an automation you approved fires. The native integrations in the table above are the ones built into Cheerful’s own screens. Every app with its own page is listed on the integrations hub.
Does Cheerful have an API, Zapier or webhooks?
There is no public REST API with API keys, no Zapier app and no outbound webhooks today; Zapier is not in the app catalogue. Make is, which lets the agent list, update and check the run logs of your Make scenarios, though Cheerful cannot yet push its own events into one. The two programmatic ways in are the MCP connector and the CLI, and both sign in as you through the browser rather than with a key.
- The MCP connector is read-only. It can answer questions about your campaigns, replies, lists, integrations and credit balance. It cannot send an email, launch a campaign or place an order.
- The CLI is not read-only. It can create and launch campaigns, edit drafts and send email, with JSON output for scripting.
- For apps with no native integration, connect the app from the catalogue in Settings over OAuth or an API key, then ask the agent in chat to use it or to build an automation around it. Those connections show up in Settings and their automations are managed in chat.
What this does not do
- No native Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft 365 sign-in. Microsoft mailboxes connect only through SMTP/IMAP, where the account allows it.
- No public REST API, no API keys and no outbound webhooks. Zapier is not in the app catalogue; Make is, for managing and monitoring scenarios.
- HubSpot, Salesforce and Notion are catalogue apps, not native integrations: the agent uses their actions on request or in an automation, with no dedicated screen and no two-way record sync.
- The Google Sheets and Airtable syncs write out of Cheerful. They do not import new creators from the sheet; use a CSV upload for that.
- TikTok and YouTube are discovery sources, not connected accounts. Cheerful does not post, DM or read comments on those platforms for you.
- The MCP connector is read-only. Anything that sends, launches or orders happens in the app or the CLI.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. You install the Cheerful AI app on your store. Cheerful then reads your catalogue, places gifting orders in your store once you approve them, and creates a unique discount code for each creator so sales can be attributed per person.
Yes. Gmail and Google Workspace are the core integration. Outreach, follow-ups and replies go out from your own address, and Cheerful syncs the inbox to pick up and draft against creator replies.
Not natively. There is no Microsoft sign-in. An Outlook or Microsoft 365 mailbox can be connected with SMTP and IMAP credentials if your administrator allows that access.
Yes. The Cheerful for Slack app posts an alert to a channel you choose when creators reply, and lets you approve, skip or edit gifting orders from the message. Drafted email replies are approved in Cheerful, not in Slack.
Yes, as a catalogue app. Connect HubSpot in Settings and the agent can create and update contacts and deals, add notes and tasks and move deals between pipeline stages, on request or in an automation such as logging every opted-in creator as a contact. It is not a two-way sync: HubSpot records are not imported back into Cheerful.
Not today. There is no public REST API with keys, no Zapier app and no webhooks. Make is in the app catalogue for managing scenarios. The programmatic surfaces are a read-only MCP connector for AI assistants and a CLI that signs in through the browser.
Yes. Add https://mcp.cheerful.ai/mcp as a connector and sign in. The assistant can then read your own campaigns, replies and creators, and it cannot change anything.
