A media kit is the one page a brand reads before deciding whether to work with you. It answers four questions in order: who is your audience, how many of them are there, how much do they engage, and what have you made for brands before. Everything else is decoration.
It is not a portfolio and it is not a résumé. A brand contact opening twenty pitches in a morning gives each one under a minute, usually on a phone, and the kits that get replies are the ones that put the numbers and the niche in the first screen.
Cheerful’s free media kit generator builds a shareable creator media kit from a public Instagram profile link, pulling follower count, engagement rate, audience niches and recent posts into a page a brand can read in under a minute.
Niche, location, and the kind of brand you work with. A brand skimming twenty kits decides in this line whether to read the rest.
Separate the numbers. A creator with 40k on TikTok and 4k on Instagram is a different buy from the reverse, and a combined "44k reach" hides that.
Engagement rate is (likes + comments) ÷ followers on a recent post sample. State the sample — "last 12 posts" — because a rate with no denominator is unverifiable and gets discounted.
Age bands, gender split, and top countries or cities, straight from your platform insights. This is the single most requested item and the most commonly missing one.
Four to six, including at least one paid or gifted collaboration. Brands are buying your execution, not your best-ever photo.
Names, and what you produced. If you have none yet, say what you would make instead — an empty section reads worse than an honest one.
One Reel, three Stories, usage rights for 30 days. Deliverables are what a brand can price; "collaborations" is not.
An email address that is not buried in a link tree. A surprising share of outreach dies here.
Public profiles only. Nothing is posted to your account and you do not connect anything.
Follower count, engagement rate, audience niches and a grid of recent content, arranged the way a brand reads it.
Every field is editable after generation. You get a URL you can paste into an email or a DM, and it stays current.
Cheerful sits on the brand side of these conversations, so this part is worth saying plainly. Before a brand replies to a pitch, someone usually opens the profile and reads the last few posts: whether the comments look like real people, whether the follower curve moved in a straight line, whether past brand posts got engagement or died. The media kit does not survive that check on its own — it decides whether the check happens at all.
Which is why the honest kit outperforms the flattering one. Numbers that match what the brand finds when it looks are worth more than bigger numbers that do not.
Cheerful is an AI platform brands use to find creators, run outreach and negotiation, and track what actually got posted.
