Cheerful + Salesforce integration

Connecting Salesforce lets Cheerful’s agent put your creator program into Salesforce objects your RevOps team already understands: creators become leads or contacts, paid collaborations become opportunities with an amount and close date, and every creator in a Cheerful campaign can be added as a member of a matching Salesforce campaign.

Salesforce is a connected app from the catalogue. The agent works through Salesforce’s own records and queries, which suits enterprise teams where influencer spend has to show up in the same reports as every other channel.

How influencer teams use Salesforce with Cheerful

Influencer spend in the same pipeline report

Each agreed collaboration becomes an opportunity with the fee as the amount, so finance sees creator spend next to paid social and events instead of in a separate spreadsheet.

Campaign membership for attribution

The agent can create a Salesforce campaign that mirrors a Cheerful campaign and add each opted-in creator’s contact or lead to it, which is what most Salesforce attribution models key on.

Dedupe before you pitch

Before outreach, ask the agent to check the shortlist against Salesforce with a query, so a creator who is already a customer, partner or active lead is flagged instead of cold-pitched.

Notes and tasks on the account

For creators tied to a retail or agency account, the agent can attach a note or task to the related record so account owners see what was agreed.

What Cheerful's agent can do in Salesforce

Salesforce exposes 185 actions to Cheerful’s agent, including:

  • Create and update leads
  • Create and update contacts
  • Create and update opportunities
  • Create a Salesforce campaign
  • Add a contact or lead to a campaign
  • Run a SOQL query or search across objects
  • Associate a contact with an account
  • Create notes and tasks, and complete tasks

How to connect Salesforce to Cheerful

  1. 1

In Cheerful, open Settings, go to Integrations and search the catalogue for Salesforce.

  2. 2

Click the tile and sign in with your Salesforce org through Salesforce’s OAuth screen. Use an account with permission to create the objects you want the agent to write.

  3. 3

Cheerful hands you to chat. Tell the agent which objects to use (lead or contact, which opportunity stage) so its writes match how your org is set up.

  4. 4

Automations are set up in chat on a campaign. They run when a creator opts in, replies or is added to the campaign, or on a schedule, and the agent tests each one on a real creator thread before you switch it on.

What the Salesforce integration does not do

  • No two-way sync and no Salesforce screen inside Cheerful. Salesforce records are not pulled back in as creators.
  • The agent writes only the fields you ask for. Validation rules and required custom fields in your org still apply and can reject a write.
  • Outreach is sent from your Cheerful mailboxes, not from Salesforce email or Marketing Cloud.

Cheerful and Salesforce: common questions

Does Cheerful integrate with Salesforce?
Yes, as a connected app. After you sign in from the Settings catalogue, Cheerful’s agent can create and update leads, contacts and opportunities, run SOQL queries and add creators to Salesforce campaigns.
Can influencer collaborations show up as Salesforce opportunities?
Yes. The agent can create an opportunity when a creator agrees to terms, with the agreed fee as the amount, either when you ask or through a campaign automation.
Does Cheerful read my Salesforce data?
Only when a task needs it, for example a query to check whether a creator is already a contact. It does not import or sync your Salesforce records.
