How the Google Sheets integration works

It works through Cheerful’s own Google service account, so there is no OAuth prompt: you share the sheet and describe the columns.

  Every time a creator’s email thread is processed, Cheerful updates their row with the columns you asked for, such as status, agreed rate, shipping address or posting date.

• Share influencer campaign progress with a client in Google Sheets

  Agencies keep reporting in the client’s own sheet. Cheerful writes each creator’s status and terms there, so the client sees progress without a Cheerful login.

• Fill spreadsheet columns from plain-English instructions

  Tell Cheerful what each column means, for example “Rate: the fee the creator agreed, in USD, blank if not agreed yet”, and the AI fills it from the conversation.

• Avoid duplicate creator rows in Google Sheets

  Rows are matched by email, ignoring case and Gmail dots or +tags, so Jane.Doe@gmail.com and janedoe@gmail.com update the same row. A creator with no row gets one appended.

• Pull creator details from an All Creators tab

  If your sheet has an All Creators tab, a daily sync reads it into Cheerful so details you add there show up on the creator’s record.

• Keep private columns out of the sync

  Mark columns Cheerful should never touch, such as internal notes or budget, and the sync skips them while it fills the rest.

How to connect Google Sheets to Cheerful

Setup takes 3 steps. Google Sheets is built into Cheerful, so there is nothing extra to install on the Cheerful side.

   Share your Google Sheet with Cheerful’s service account as an Editor. The address is shown in the campaign setup.

   In the campaign wizard, paste the sheet URL and pick the tab.

   Write a short instruction for each column. Out of the box the columns are email, name, status and notes.

Cheerful and Google Sheets: common questions

Does Cheerful integrate with Google Sheets?

Yes, natively. Share a sheet with Cheerful’s service account and an AI updates each creator’s row from their email thread, following instructions you write per column.

Does the Google Sheets sync go both ways?

Mostly one way, Cheerful to sheet. The exception is an All Creators roster tab, read once a day to fill in details for existing creators.

Why did Cheerful add a new row instead of updating mine?

Rows are matched by the creator’s email. If the email in your sheet is a different address from the one the creator writes from, Cheerful cannot tell it is the same person and appends a row.

What access does Cheerful need to my Google Sheet?

Editor access for Cheerful’s service account on the sheet you share. There is no Google sign-in prompt, and Cheerful can only open sheets shared with that address.

Can I track influencer campaigns in Google Sheets with Cheerful?

Yes. Set the sheet in the campaign wizard, describe each column, and the rows fill in as creators reply and agree terms.

Is the Google Sheets integration free?

It is part of Cheerful, which is free to start, and it works with any Google Sheet you can share. No Google Workspace plan is needed.
