  The Edit button opens a form in Slack for the creator’s email, phone, name and address, so a typo is corrected before the order is placed.

  A separate daily message lists Cheerful gift orders stuck unfulfilled in your store, so a bad address is fixed before the creator chases you.

• Choose which creator replies trigger an alert

  Gifting and creator campaigns alert on replies that show interest or ask a question, so the channel is not flooded by out-of-office mail. Sales-style campaigns can alert on every human reply.

How to connect Slack to Cheerful

Setup takes 3 steps. Slack is built into Cheerful, so there is nothing extra to install on the Cheerful side.

   Add the Cheerful for Slack app to your workspace from Settings in Cheerful.

   Invite the bot to the channel you want alerts in.

   In each campaign, set that channel. Cheerful warns you if the bot is not linked, cannot see the channel or is in the wrong workspace.

Cheerful and Slack: common questions

Does Cheerful integrate with Slack?

Yes, natively. The Cheerful for Slack app posts reply alerts to a campaign channel and a daily digest where you approve, edit or skip gifting orders.

Is Cheerful a Slack bot?

No. Cheerful is a web application; Slack is an optional place to get alerts and approve gift orders.

Can I reply to creators from Slack?

Not today. The alert links to the thread in Cheerful, where the drafted reply is waiting for you.

Can I approve Shopify gifting orders in Slack?

Yes. The daily Orders to Approve digest lists each waiting order with the creator and address. Approve places it in your store, Skip drops it, and Edit lets you correct the details first. You can also request the digest on demand.

Why is Cheerful not posting in my Slack channel?

Usually the bot has not been invited to the channel. Cheerful checks the connection on each campaign and warns you if the bot is not linked, cannot see the channel or is in the wrong workspace.

Is the Slack integration free?

It is part of Cheerful, which is free to start, and it works in any Slack workspace where you are allowed to add apps.
